Corrections Retractions and Withdrawals Policy

IPMM maintains the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. The published article is the Version of Record. Errors and concerns are assessed for their effect on reliability, interpretation and ethical status, with input from relevant parties where appropriate.

Corrections

A correction is issued when an error needs a transparent amendment but the main findings remain reliable. The notice explains what changed and why, identifies and links to the article. Material changes are not made silently; minor presentation errors may receive a documented update.

Expressions of concern and retractions

An expression of concern may alert readers to substantial unresolved doubts during an inquiry. A retraction may be warranted by unreliable findings, serious ethical problems, duplicate publication or other misconduct that materially compromises the record. The notice states reasons and who retracts the work, avoids unsupported allegations and is permanently linked. The article is marked as retracted and normally remains accessible.

Withdrawal and exceptional removal

An unpublished manuscript may be withdrawn by authors or removed from editorial consideration, with the reason recorded. A published Version of Record is not treated as an unpublished withdrawal. Removal or restricted access is exceptional, for serious legal, privacy or safety concerns; notice and metadata should remain where possible.

Versioning and discussion

Post-publication notices link permanently to the article with dates and identifiers where available. The record is preserved; replacement is exceptional and must retain an accessible version history. Technical defects that do not alter the visible content of an article, such as broken or misdirected hyperlinks, may be corrected without creating a new version. IPMM welcomes evidence-based discussion and may invite a response or publish a letter, editorial note or correction.

Raising a concern

Send article details and evidence to editor@invasivephysiotherapy.com. An uninvolved editor handles a conflict involving the Editor-in-Chief. IPMM informs relevant parties of the outcome and publishes a notice when the record requires it.
